Senior Frontend Software Engineer (Fully Remote)
My client, a profitable, high-growth startup, is looking for a Senior Frontend Software Engineer to join their team. They are a remote-first company with a distributed team across the US and Europe, focused on leveraging AI to help cybersecurity and market intelligence teams streamline open-source intelligence collection, analysis, and sharing.
About the Role
The client is searching for a passionate frontend engineer with 5+ years of experience to help build and optimize their customer-facing web and mobile applications, browser extensions, and widgets. You would join a team of seven frontend engineers and work closely with Product, Design, Backend, and Machine Learning teams to develop new features and enhancements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Write clean, reusable, scalable, and efficient code.
- Collaborate with product managers and designers to refine product requirements and designs.
- Confidently ship features and improvements with minimal supervision and work on larger projects with the team.
- Conduct code reviews and assist with bug fixes.
- Support customer-facing teams by troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
Must-Have Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in web development using Next.js, React, and Sass.
- Experience with professional web development, web bootcamps, or a Computer Science degree.
- Comfortable with tooling such as Nx, Webpack, and ESLint.
- Hands-on experience with testing, deploying, monitoring, and troubleshooting your own code.
- Proficient with Git, GitHub, and conducting code reviews.
- Strong communication skills and thrives in a small, remote-friendly team environment.
- Solution-oriented, adaptable to change, and able to prioritize effectively.
- Eagerness to stay updated with industry trends and share knowledge with the team.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications:
- Familiarity with TypeScript or native mobile development (Swift, Java).
- Experience with content management systems like Sanity.
- Based in US or Western Europe time zones.
- Experience in Market Intelligence or Threat Intelligence is a plus.
